Due to the reduction of Covid concerns,  the purchase of a new farm, and work we are completing to create a safe selection area away from the kennel, we are now able to offer in person selection of puppies again. We are excited to offer this popular requested opportunity but we reserve the right at any time to remove this option if in our opinion, human or dog health concerns warrant increased caution. Please pardon our remodeling mess!

DUE TO THE PREVALANCE OF PARVO IN INDIANA - WE RESTRICT VISITS AT OUR HOME TO ONLY SCHEDULED SELECTION AND PICKUP APPOINMENTS.

The health and safety of our dogs and puppies is very important to us, so we take every precaution to protect them.  Most potential customers want to visit and pick out their puppy in person, but this introduces great risk for kennel owners and their dogs so we do our best to try to protect everyone's health during this process.

Many don't realize there are countless things to consider as a breeder. The dangers of exposing young puppies to communicable disease is very serious and can be detrimental to a breeding program and the welfare of our dogs. Visitors can (of course unknowingly) bring diseases onto the property on their feet, hands etc. The mothers are also being protective of their 'den' (impending litter/pups) during this sensitive time.  This is can cause her stress and unease with a number of visitors coming and going while she is preparing for delivery or has a litter of pups.

While all of our adult dogs are fully vaccinated, young and newborn puppies don’t have fully developed immune systems and are susceptible to life threatening illnesses, including Parvovirus (Rottweilers are known to be highly susceptible to Parvovirus), Canine Influenza, Pneumonia, Canine Herpes Virus, Kennel Cough, etc. Therefore, precautions must be taken to ensure their safety as they are not yet old enough to vaccinate. When diseases like Parvo strike, they can kill a whole litter in a matter of hours and can stay in the carpet and soil for years which would be devastating to our breeding program and property for many years to come. Disease can be carried on people’s clothing, hands, shoes, etc. and can live for years in the soil, pet stores, carpet, dog parks, training facilities, kennels, vet offices, rest stops, etc (anywhere dogs go) and unknowingly be tracked in.

Litters of purebred puppies are also a high target for theft, dog flipping, and animal rights extremists. Therefore, we strictly limit access to who comes onto our property.

In the meantime, we ask that you 'visit' us online on our website or communicate with us via email, Facebook,  phone or text rather than visiting in person, so that you may see our dogs and watch our puppies grow. We photograph and video our puppies regularly so you will have plenty of opportunity to see how the litter is growing. You can also view our past litter photos on our website.  Most of our customers have become friends and often send us updated photos and we post them on the website so you can continue to watch each puppy mature.

  • Puppy selection generally begins at about 4 weeks of age. You must place your deposit to hold a puppy.  If you want additional pictures, videos or have questions about any of the pups, please contact us. In an effort to minimize exposure of our puppies to contagious diseases/viruses we allow a scheduled time to see available pups.

  • You will be able to pick up the pup you have fully paid for once they reach 8 weeks old and have had their second round of shots. The pick up day and time must be scheduled. Please be on time as we set aside a block of time for your visit. Any necessary health safety measures will be used and details will be given in the pickup email instructions you will receive.

  • We ask that new owners on pickup day refrain from visiting with another breeder, dog park, vet, pet store etc. on the same day before picking up your puppy.

  • No other dogs or animals are permitted to visit.

It is important to note that we make sure all puppies have their first 2 required sets of DHPP shots (the second set was added to help increase pups protection before leaving our environment). We recommend new owners continue a protective environment keeping puppies away from other non-family animals, limited non-household family human interaction and no public areas until all of the DHPP shot series have been received. Please consult your vet for their guidance in your area regarding this protection.

We reserve the right at any time to revise this policy without notice.
